About the Radiology programme
Imaging technicians are among the highest-paid paramedical professionals because the equipment is expensive, the physics is demanding, and radiation safety is legally regulated. A trained radiographer is required for every X-ray, CT and MRI scan performed in India.
The programme covers radiation physics, radiobiology, imaging equipment, patient positioning and projection techniques, contrast media administration, darkroom and digital image processing, CT and MRI principles, and AERB radiation safety regulations.
Graduates work in hospital radiology departments, standalone diagnostic imaging centres, teleradiology providers, and can progress to B.Sc in Radiology & Imaging Technology.
Programme highlights
- High Paying SpecialityRadiographers command strong salaries, especially in CT and MRI.
- Radiation Safety TrainingAERB-aligned radiation protection protocol training included.
- Multi-Modality ExposureX-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI and ultrasound principles.
- Digital ImagingPACS, DICOM, CR/DR workflow and image post-processing.

Radiology — frequently asked questions
Yes, strongly. CT and MRI installations keep growing and each machine legally requires trained technologists. MRI technologists in particular are in short supply.
